CATEGORIES OF MEMBERSHIP

  

1. Life Member

A Life Membership is granted only under exceptional circumstances and invariably results from both a long association with the Club and during which time a significant contribution to the advancement and wellbeing of the Club has been made.

The granting of Life Membership requires a specific nomination, the endorsement of the Board and, finally, a majority vote of Club members at an AGM or SGM.


2. Full Playing Member and Years 1-3 Full Playing Member

A Full Member is entitled to all the playing and other privileges and advantages of membership of the Club. This includes full use of the Club's green as determined by the Board, participation in all Club events including Championships, together will the ability to be selected and/or represent the Club in both Centre and National bowling tournaments.

Further, to hold office in the Club as well as to be able to speak and vote at General Meetings of the Club.


3. Associate Member

An Associate Member is first and foremost a full member of another Club. An Associate Member is required to have obtained a Clearance Certificate from their principal Club before Associate membership may be granted.

An Associate Member is entitled to a range of playing and other privileges and advantages of Membership of the Club as determined by the Board. This includes full use of the Club's green and participation in certain Club events with the exception of Club Championships and as a playing representative of the Club at Centre and National events.

An Associate may also hold office in the Club as well as to be able to speak and vote at General Meetings of the Club.


4.     Limited (Club Only) Playing Member

A Limited Bowling Membership entitles you to:

  • Use of the Club’s greens at any time when they are open for play and when no other bowling event has been scheduled.
  • Participate in any Roll-Ups organised by the club.
  • Use of the Club’s facilities and the ability to participate in social activities organised by the Club.


5. Indoor Bowls Member

 An Indoor Bowls Member is entitled to play indoor bowls throughout the year, to have the use of the club's facilities excluding the use of the green, and the ability to participate in social activities organised by the Club. 


 6. Social Member 

A Social Member is a non-playing member and at the discretion of the Board, is entitled to use those facilities for the Club which do not involve the use of the green.

A Social Member may also hold office in the Club and additionally speak, with the approval of the Chairperson, but not vote at General Meetings of the Club.
